1. What are the requirements for P.I.M. ?

P.I.M. requires you have installed on your computer MS Windows 98 or higher, MS Office XP, or 2003.  If you do not have any of these software applications, please visit our Microsoft Product Page for great deals.

 

 

2. Can I transfer P.I.M. from computer to computer or install on multiple machines?  

Ownership of a single license of P.I.M. is per user, per machine.  It cannot be moved from machine to machine without purchasing multiple copies as it would violate the P.I.M. user agreement.  Subsequent licenses can by purchased at a reduced rate.

 

 

3. Is the system easy to learn?

Yes.  In today's healthcare environment, staff personnel have many responsibilities.  The increased patient loads and accompanying paperwork is often overwhelming.  New users can be operational in a matter of hours.

 

 

4. What computer equipment do I need?  

ABIS software is built on Microsoft Office applications.  MS Office 2002 (XP) or higher is required to implement ABIS applications.  If you do not have MS Office installed on your systems, ABIS can assist you in your purchase at a fraction of retail cost.

 

 

5. Will the systems run on a network?

Yes, ABIS solutions run over most networks, including Windows NT, Novell and others.

 

 

6. Is P.I.M. expandable?  

Yes, ABIS is committed to expand its product regularly.  You will receive free updates 2-3 times a year.  If P.I.M. is not suited to your business, call us today to build a custom application.

 

 

7. What other products and services does ABIS offer?

8. Can I share P.I.M. data with other users? 

P.I.M. allows you to share your P.I.M. data with other users or for you to view other user's P.I.M. data.

 

 

9. Will P.I.M.  change any functionality of Outlook?  

No, P.I.M. adds to Outlook, but does not change any functionality Outlook already contains.

 

 

11. If the forms in my Outlook have been modified, will P.I.M. change or affect these in some way?  

No, we have designed P.I.M. so that it does not interfere with the standard or modified forms that may have been created in your Outlook environment.  They run independent of each other.

 

 

12 Why does a pop-up screen always appear when I start Microsoft Outlook?  

This screen only appears in the Trial Version of the software.

 

 

13. I receive an error "Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01ad' ActiveX component can't create object: 'Scripting.FileSystemObject'" what do I do?  

Visit http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C717D943-7E4B-4622-86EB-95A22B832CAA&displaylang=en   : download and install Windows Script 5.6 for windows 2000 and XP.

 

 

16. I have delegate rights to someone's calendar but when I try to print the calendar I get an error message "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook."  

This error will occur if you have been given delegate rights to someone's Calendar but not given rights to their Tasks and are trying to print their calendar using the Daily Style which includes printing task items. The delegate can resolve this problem by modifying the Print style to exclude task items. This can be done by selecting File | Print and clicking on the Define Styles button. Highlight Daily Style and click on the Edit button. Then uncheck the Include TaskPad option and click OK. You will now be able to print the calendar.

 

 

17.  P.I.M. is not working, but I see it in my COM Add-in list?

Sometimes, add-ins can be disabled.  To see a list of disabled add-ins: In MS Outlook. click help ->disabled items.

 


18.  P.I.M. is not assigning patient ID numbers when saving, but I see them in my patients folder?

You must make sure DAO 3.6 is installed.  Follow the directions at http://www.domainpunch.com/support/articles/dao.php and this should resolve this problem.
